Fife Coast Day 5 St Andrews

The last day of our holidays and after leaving our B&B we set off for our final trip to St Andrews

.  No buses today, we parked between the beach and the golf course and set off to watch more golf or should I say stand around waiting for the players to play.  We spoke to one marshall who said an average round was taking 5.5 hours.  Boring!  Once again we chose the wrong day, the big name players were on the other courses,  did they know we were coming?

After a couple of hours we had a rest from golf and went into St Andrews for some lunch and coffee. When we were fed and watered and had bought some cakes to take back to Kathleen we walked back towards the beach.  The beach is wonderful and the sun was shining so we walked from the town end for miles.  I asked Brian to run so that I could film him a la Chariot of Fire but he wouldn’t.  Spoil sport!

Soon it was time to say goodbye to the beach and set off for Broxburn for the night before heading back to Macclesfield the next morning.
